’Mercy’ portrays a desperate and emotional man desiring to fix a broken relationship. As emotions and desire overflow and his thinking isn’t clear, he doubts everything he’s said and done, shifting between placing the blame with either himself or with her. In the heat of the moment he believes all he needs is mercy and compassion from the one person who was hurting him the most. Only when the storm in his heart settles he realizes that the person who was hurting him the most was himself.
